The Active Beacon Photopost Project is a sculptural wayfinding project, currently being rolled out by Visit East Yorkshire in conjunction with a local designer, Galvin Brothers, based in Beverley. Linked to Coastal Monitoring, Blue Health, Photography & increasing physical activity levels, the initial project was linked to the King Charles III, England Coast Path where 30 posts have been installed in 5 cluster locations and has just been picked up by the BBC –

Each post contains a unique hashtag with the public uploading images to social media. Each cluster location also has a QR code to track engagement – an example being in the first 12 months of the Flamborough Cluster we have seen over 8500 scans.

For more information on the project, please contact Matt Galvin on or myself, Adam Toes, Tourism Events & Projects Manager, Visit East Yorkshire on or visit out website which is currently being developed
