GL events UK will deliver pioneering solutions to enhance The 2018 Ryder Cup experience which includes building France’s first ever triple-deck temporary structure

The 2018 Ryder Cup has awarded a contract to GL events UK, a specialist in delivering live, global event infrastructure and overlay, to create France’s first ever triple-deck temporary structure.

This is the third time GL events has been appointed by The Ryder Cup. The contract aims to put innovation at the heart of the spectator experience at Le Golf National in Paris this September.

Installation of the triple-deck structure by GL events is a significant milestone, marking a boundary-pushing innovation for both the event and its attendees. After working closely with The 2018 Ryder Cup and relevant authorities, the newly-designed, reverse-wrap corner system will be unveiled at the event and will fit within the 6,500-seate,r double wrap-around grandstand constructed on the 1st tee and 18th Green area.

As Europe’s largest events company and a provider of integrated solutions and services for live events, GL events UK has also been appointed to supply a comprehensive range of temporary structures and audience seating grandstands, to create premium event infrastructure throughout Le Golf National for The 2018 Ryder Cup.

Key back-of-house operational and administration infrastructure will also be installed; as well as an exclusive range of visitor areas: from luxurious,s multi-storey hospitality pavilions to premium retail, dining and brand experiential pop-ups throughout the event village.

About The 2018 Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup is one of the world’s biggest sporting events, attracting a TV audience of up to 500 million households in more than 180 countries. The competition will take place on the Albatros Course at Le Golf National, Paris, from 28th to 30th September 2018. The format is a match-play, team competition between two teams of 12 players each, from the USA and Europe, captained by Jim Furyk and Thomas Bjørn respectively.
