Cube Partnership (‘Cube’) today becomes the Official Global Ecommerce and Retail Partner of The Jockey Club, the largest commercial organisation and employer in British horseracing. The announcement is made as part of the unveiling of a new ecommerce store, incorporating a number of merchandise collections for The Jockey Club and its major festivals in 2023.

The Jockey Club, established in 1750, is responsible for running some of the UK’s biggest events, including the Randox Grand National at Aintree, The Cheltenham Festival, The Derby at Epsom Downs and the QICPO Guineas Festival at Newmarket.

As the official ecommerce and retail partner, Cube has designed, sourced, and will deliver retail licensed products for The Jockey Club at its racecourses and via a dedicated online store launched today. This online store, designed and operated by Cube, includes a comprehensive range of exciting merchandise products for The Jockey Club and its major festivals and events, bringing a world class ecommerce and merchandise service to its dedicated, engaged, and passionate fanbase globally.

In line with Cube and The Jockey Club’s social value commitments, the official range of products and merchandise will have a strong commitment to sustainability, with a focus on limiting single use plastics, responsibly managing waste materials, and reducing carbon emissions.

Olaf Gueldner, The Jockey Club’s Chief Marketing Officer, said, “We’re excited to be partnering with Cube to deliver not only a wider range of products than we’ve ever offered before but also a great shopping experience, both online and at our racecourses.

“This is a really important part of our commitment to further engaging new and existing racing fans and gives everyone the opportunity to show their passion for the sport. As every penny of profit The Jockey Club makes is reinvested, supporters are also playing their part in helping to create a thriving racing industry for years to come.”

Andy Bough, Cube’s Commercial Director said, “We are delighted to be partnering with The Jockey Club to deliver a new merchandise programme for Britain’s third biggest spectator sport. The Jockey Club’s festivals are amongst the most iconic and historic sporting events in the world, and we are thrilled to be working with such a great team to launch and build a completely reimagined and digitally connected merchandise programme.

“Our new official merchandise collections, bespoke e-commerce store, and festival retail solutions will provide an elevated experience for racegoers and fans around the world.”

Following the opening of The Jockey Club’s official online store, Cube’s first on-event retail programme will launch at The Cheltenham Festival next week, March 14th to 17th, where Cube’s designated retail team will operate Cheltenham Racecourse’s retail shop, refurbished by Cube, and manage and install two Jockey Club branded pop-up retail containers at the racecourse’s concourse, as well as a fully branded pop-up retail space in the hospitality area.
