The leading operator of holidays and services on the Coast to Coast has launched a new “Covid-compliant” running event. Designed to give runners and adventure-types “The Most Stunning Running Experience in England”, and an actual event to participate in.

The Coast to Coast Packhorse Running Festival is a 10-day running challenge taking participants from the Irish Sea through the most magnificent sceneries of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North Yorkshire Moors to finish in the North Sea at Robin Hood’s Bay. (There are also options to do just the Cumbrian or Yorkshire sections).

The great outdoors means participants will easily be socially-distanced shared contact points. Coast to Coast Packhorse have organised bespoke services to ensure the same buzz of participating in an event and the associated features – such as special start/finish locations, daily post-run activities, training guide, nutrition, massage service (*), t-shirt, medal, route support – including running chaperone – and more, making it the ultimate Running Staycation in the UK. The epic journey starts on Friday 9th October 2020 in St Bees.

“With many people increasingly taking up running during lockdown, unable to put their training into competitive action, and an increase in staycations, we believe this is the ideal solution. We were unable to put on our usual guided Coast to Coast run, with many of the participants from Australia, so we are keen to organise an alternative experience. The impact of Covid-19 has been and will continue to be felt throughout the tourism sector for a long time. But rather than just hoping it will improve, we scoped out and created new products and services to meet a new desire for active challenges and holidays in the UK.” Mark Sandamas, Owner of Coast to Coast Packhorse and Leader on of the coast to coast guided runs.

“We believe this new Coast to Coast running package, offers a unique opportunity to run in the company (socially-distanced of course) of other like-minded adventure-types”.

Numbers will be capped to 30 to comply with the guidelines on the size of gatherings.

This amazing running package includes all accommodation, meals, run nutrition, bag transfers, discounts at Pete Bland Sports, and all the expert help and support from the leading operator of Coast to Coast holiday experiences.
