The National Outdoor Event Association has agreed another new partnership that will further strengthen its position as one of the leading outdoor event associations. Its latest agreement will see NCASS (the Nationwide Caterers Association) become a Premium Partner, with a remit to raise awareness of specific issues relating to event catering.
NCASS is the primary body representing the independent food and drink community, and with many of its members regularly supporting outdoor events, the association is keen to engage with the NOEA community. Immediate issues already high on NCASS’s agenda are gas safety on site at events and recruitment into the industry.
“Both of these issues affect the safety and integrity of events,” comments Nick Summers, Managing Director, NCASS. ”As ever, there are businesses who act responsibly and with knowledge and understanding of the events they support. This is especially true around areas such as gas safety in the catering sector. Others do need Information and education, and this partnership gives us a perfect opportunity to raise awareness on both sides.”

NCASS will also be part of the NOEA Annual Convention & Awards, taking place 22nd November in Bath. Entries are now open to this year’s awards, which will once again represent the very best of the industry, including a specialist category for event catering.
