The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster provide toilets for members of the public attending the annual Notting Hill Carnival. The event takes place over the late August bank holiday each year attracting approximately 1 million people on each day. Additionally, Panorama takes placed on the Saturday attracting circa 5,000 visitors.
The councils are inviting tenders from companies to bid for the supply of a minimum of 480 toilets per day plus accessible units across both boroughs for the 2019 event. There is also an option for this contract to be extended to 2020 and 2021. An estimated budget for the first-year is £170,000.
The evaluation criteria will favour suppliers who can demonstrate their commitment to delivering a sustainable product.
Tenders should be uploaded into the Capital Esourcing website by 12 noon on Friday 15th March.
