The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) has announced that Goc O’Callaghan, Global Strategic Experience Consultant, award-winning festival director, academic, and trends expert, will headline this year’s NOEA Convention, taking place 27th November, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Bath.
Goc recently launched UBQex, a strategic experience design consultancy, before that working for Buro Happold, whilst also being a co-founder and director of the acclaimed ArcTanGent Festival. This triad between practical experience, strategic consultancy and academic knowledge has made her one of the most recognised experience experts, globally. Her work has also led her to further investigate the economic and cultural value of live experiences, making her perfectly placed to lead the industry conversation towards a new bold look at what’s next for events.
Goc’s keynote, “Live45: Past, Present, and Future – A State of the Nation on the UK Events Industry,” will deliver a thought-provoking overview of where the industry stands in 2025 – from economic shifts to emerging technologies – and what lies ahead as NOEA celebrates its 45th year. Following her address, she will be joined on stage by a panel of industry leaders to unpack her findings and explore how organisers, suppliers, and destinations can prepare for the opportunities and challenges that 2026 will bring.
“Goc epitomises everything our industry stands for, innovation, impact, and a special role in culture and community,” commented Susan Tanner, CEO, NOEA. “Her ability to connect the practical realities of running an independent award-winning festival with global trends and academic research, will give our delegates the perfect start to the day.”
The NOEA Convention & Awards 20025 will take place across two days, with the awards returning to the Roman Baths & Pump Rooms, Bath, on the 26th November, followed by the annual convention on the 27th November. The event once more promises to fuse networking with education, and insight with inspiration.
