Business Support Helpline

Some members will come to rely on the range of support provided by the helpline; but without encouragement others may never make that all-important first call. This information aims to ensure that members take advantage of the range of support services available by making sure the benefits to their businesses are communicated. 

 
Croners have produced a range of “example” material to help you to understand the Business Support Helpline as follows:-
 
“We understand that running a business is hard work and that keeping up with legal requirements can be a major drain on resources. To help our valued members operate more efficiently we now provide telephone access to expert commercial and legal advice completely free of charge. Available Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm the Helpline should be your first port of call with any queries relating to issues including:
  • Commercial and contract law
  • Company law
  • Debts and debt recovery
  • Employment and personnel
  • Health and safety issues
  • Licensing
  • PAYE
  • Payroll
  • Tax and VAT

There are no time limits on calls to the Helpline so you can rest assured that you’ll get the best possible advice. The consultants who man the Helpline draw on their own extensive experience to provide practical solutions and guidance on complex compliance issues. The team includes solicitors, chartered accountants, personnel managers, and safety specialists; all of who will provide straightforward answers in clear, straightforward language – with no legal jargon.

Croner Factsheets accessing a wealth of information in just a few clicks

Members will have exclusive access to a wide range of free factsheets to assist in the running of their businesses.  These factsheets will help your deal with issues such as absence control, unfair dismissal and the dangers of e-mail and Internet use.  There are over 70 factsheets covering a wide range of topics relating to commercial law, employment, health and safety, tax and VAT.
 
The factsheets are designed to complement the telephone advice line by providing background information on the subject concerned. Before any action is taken assistance should always be sought from one of Croners specialists on the Helpline.  To reflect best business working practices and changes in legislation all factsheets are updated on a regular basis.
 
Every month Croners produce an informative newsletter to help keep members up to date with major changes in legislation and give them practical business advice. This attractive and easy to read newsletter includes details of forthcoming legislation, frequently asked questions and articles that all businesses can relate to. Members will be supplied with an electronic copy
 
Administration – This service is available to Members only

Members will gain direct access to the advice service by way of a designated telephone number allocated by W.K. and by quoting a special Scheme Number.

W.K. will provide Adviser Cards personalised to NOEA Members so that you are able to telephone them quoting a unique identification number.

Call Recording

In order to maintain and further improve quality standards, telephone calls to the advice lines will be recorded.  W.K. will ensure that strict controls and security are maintained over such recordings at all times and that client confidentiality is fully protected.  NOEA shall notify all those entitled to use the Advice Services of the call recording.

Each Member should have received their own Adviser Card any queries to NOEA please in the first instance.
